Google search console is used for webmastering purpose, use your own mail to manage links, amp, page redirects, 404 errors, mobile & desktop view usability etc .

Yoast SEO plugin is just an outfit of you, like a jacket on your body which helps you to set keywords & meta descriptions for pages, posts . . . These are just 30-40% features of Yoast SEO , , Rest all around 60% are related to google search console & google webmaster tool: the only free place when you can manage 404 page/posts link error, invalid page/post redirection, setting up AMP , URL inspection, Desktop & mobile view setup, page structure correction, overall website performance report, security & SEO issues report & lots more . . .

If you don't know about these features then YOASE SEO FREE is same to you , cause you're ignoring/missing what features YOAST SEO PREMIUM provides.
